Message from Antonio Chagoury
It is through much deliberation, thought, and consideration that I announce that I am stepping down as the organizer of the Capital DotNetNuke User Group.
This decision was not made in haste; it has been on my mind for a while now. It also hasn’t been easy to finally let go of something that I created and nurtured for almost 7 years! This decision was a tough one to make.
Event Date: 05/24/2011 Time: 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Windows Phone 7 is Microsoft's big move in the mobile space and as we've come to expect from Microsoft, they've made sure the tooling, for creating awesome, compelling mobile applications for the Windows Phone 7 platform, makes development as easy and powerful as possible. This session will introduce you to the Windows Phone 7 development platform. What tools do you need? (they are all FREE!), how do I write a Windows Phone 7 app? Do I actually need to own a Windows Phone? (the answer is NO) to develop, test and sell apps in the MarketPlace. The session will include plenty of code. We'll use familiar tools (Visual Studio), Languages (C#), and Frameworks (Silverlight and MVVM) as we design and build a mobile application for this exciting new platform.

Event Date: 03/16/2011 Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM To kickstart the user group for 2011 we decided to organize something completely different than the usual, something ad-hoc and fun! That's right, on March 16th we will be meeting at On The Border restaurant in Tysons Corner (it's just one block away from our usual meeting place). Any topic goes, any question goes... it's open mic at the DNN Social Hour and I'll be there at the receiving end trying to quench your thirst for anything DotNetNuke. This will definitely be fun, and I hope you're up for it. Be there or be square! Speaker Antonio Chagoury Antonio Chagoury is the CEO and Chief Software Architect of Inspector IT Inc (www.inspectorit.com), a .net and DotNetNuke solutions provider based in the Washington DC Metro Area. As a member of the DotNetNuke Core team and project lead of the Blog module as well as the Installer utility, he is an active contributor and supporter DotNetNuke and Open Source. Antonio Chagoury is a Microsoft MVP Note We will be using EventBrite for all of our future meetings. Please RSVP on EventBrite as soon as possible so that we can make the necessary arrangements with the restaurant. Please also note that food and beverages are not sponsored, we're going dutch on this one.
